Hello and welcome to the Durability School, the synthesis of how I coach at Magnetic North.

The School has moved! You can now join us on our upgraded platform.

I am Raven, the founder and creator of this School. Over the last fifteen years of coaching, professional endurance athleticism, and mountain guiding, I have developed a failsafe toolkit designed to buck each entropic lie the endurance world sold you and replace it with frameworks for you to thrive under increasing amounts of stress.

Beginning between the ages of six and fourteen, I also began to build regular practices of lucid dreaming, meditation, yoga, psychedelics, and astral projection. By progressing on both paths—the upper and lower, as the embodied ascetic—I have developed a unified view of what it means to explore the farthest reaches of what makes us human.

I designed this School to aid you in your quest to expand your perceptive abilities; become as durable as you can be at all stages of your life; and to ground your spiritual practices in tangible, body-based work supported by meticulously-organized research.

In order to transcend into alternate perceptive realities, we first must master the body. In order to master the body, we must cultivate the spirit. May this School be of service on your journey through the mountains and into yourself.

What participants are saying about the (D)School

"It lands differently as an asynchronous resource; the benefit of being able to revisit the material makes it resonate more deeply. I am able to process the information in a deeper way. The delivery achieves greater salience and the courses have added so much value to our past and current one-on-one work.”

"(D)School for me is a consistent trickle of inspiration, and the sessions are a small way to feel connected to other people who are working with similar goals. I have found that few other places."

"My favorite thing about the M^ method is learning the 'why' behind things. Every training plan or method I've followed before was just 'do the thing because we said so'. It is great that this is not about a race or a single outcome like all my previous training. Long-term durability and a body that will recover well is so much more exciting than ticking off items on a bucket list."

Frequently Asked Questions

What will I need in order to participate in the Durability School?

You'll need a computer with access to the Internet or an iPhone with the Teachable app (currently only available on iOS). If you access the School on the app, you'll be able to select audio content for download so you can listen offline.

We also recommend that you keep a notepad and pen handy to record reflections on what you digest in the School. Members often find that they are most effectively able to implement what they learn with an activity tracker with HRV, detailed sleep metrics, and the ability to input your custom HR zones.

What is the time commitment to participate in the School? Is there a schedule I need to adhere to?

I recommend that participants allow one to two sittings with the School per week. These sittings need not be long, rather frequent and consistent in order to solidify learnings.

On the flip side, I have seen students speed through the material quickly and become overwhelmed. For those students I advise them to skim the material once then return to areas of interest for a more in-depth learning over the course of their membership.

Bottom line: these courses are evidence-rich and require you to take personal action. My best advice is to use the School like you would a textbook: diving in regularly but not trying to read it cover-to-cover in one sitting.

All courses in the DSchool are self-paced. You will work through the content at your speed on your schedule. On the signup page, however, I do provide recommended ‘road maps’ so you know where to begin. The courses are dense with evidence, reflections, and content––many lectures are available as free ‘Previews’.

Do I need to have an activity tracker in order to participate?

While many people wish to use a tracking device during the School about half of all participants choose not to use a device for various reasons: sensory aversion to wearables, past history of disordered eating, or no available budget for a new device.

That said, many participants do wish to buy a device to use in conjunction with the School. I recommend either a Whoop strap or Apple Watch.

Having a device or not doesn't prevent you from participating.

My bundle includes a monthly Q&A session. How do I participate?

Upon purchasing a bundle that includes a monthly Q&A session with a M^ advisor, coach, or community expert you'll receive instructions on how to submit questions and when the Sessions will be posted to the private (D)School page.

How do you choose the questions for each Session?

Each month we will choose a theme and will select questions gathered around that theme. We strive to select questions that are relatable and broadly useful to the group. Submit as many questions as you like every month and if we don't use it the month you ask it we may answer it in a future Session.

How can I renew after my term is up?

Your membership will expire automatically once your 6- or 12-month membership is up. Should you wish to participate continuously in the School, follow the renewal instructions in the email automatically sent in the month prior to the end of your package. Should you wish to renew once your membership has lapsed, please return to this page and choose your preferred package in order to continue. We're honored to have you here.

Can you please explain my subscription options?

For the DSchool your options in descending order of total cost are either monthly billing, one-time billing, or yearly billing. The advantage for the yearly option is that you lock in that rate for the entire year and renewal options are generous. For the six-month option, your renewal may increase in cost. My goal with the DSchool is to keep it accessible to as many people as I can while balancing its need for new content, regular literature reviews, and maintenance.

Can I get a refund for my purchase?

All purchases are final. Please refer to our Terms here prior to registering.
